Thai Spicy and Sour (White Tomyam) Fish Soup Recipes

Tomyam is the most famous food in Thailand but have you heard or try eating the White Tomyam? Basically both taste almost similar and the ingredients too but the only different is the chili, one is red color and another is not red.

Ingredients

  • 1 piece of Old Ginger
  • 2 pieces of Tofu
  • 100 grams of Salted Vegetable
  • 2 stalks of Lemon Grass
  • 2 pieces of Tomato
  • 2 pieces of Salted Plum
  • 3 pieces of Small Green Chili
  • 500 ml of water
  • 300 gram of Fish Meat ***Can replace with chicken.

 

Tips: Add in the cabbage, onion or oyster mushroom for better taste.

 

Directions

Step 1: Clean the old ginger, peel the ginger skin and cut into slices.
Step 2: Clean the tofu and cut into small pieces.
Step 3: Clean the salted vegetable and cut into small pieces.
Step 4: Clean the tomatoes and cut into pieces.
Step 5: Clean the lemon grass, cut into 2 pieces per stalk and smash it.
Step 6: Prepare the salted plum and smash it.
Step 7: Clean the small green chili and cut into small pieces.
Step 8: Boiling the 500 ml water in a pot or wok  then put in all the ginger, salted vegetable, lemon grass, tomatoes, salted plum and small green chili. Let’s it boil  for 25 min then put in the tofu and fish to continue boil another 5 minutes before it can ready to serve.
